Double Chocolate Banana Bread

A variation of my Banana Bread recipe, if you are chocolate lover you’ll like this one. Sweet really ripe bananas are a must. I always buy more bananas then I need , let the extras go really brown, then peel and freeze them so they are ready when I need them.

After the bananas are mashed you can basically throw the rest of the ingredients in the mixer and you’re good to go. If you want it to look extra pretty add sliced banana and chocolate chips on top before baking.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Bake time: 40 minutes

3 very ripe bananas

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup chocolate chips/chunks

Preheat oven to 350.

Spray and line a loaf pan. With an electric mixer on low mash the bananas. Add sugar and mix until combined. Add the rest of the ingredient and mix until everything is well combined.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
